My Story Begins

Life is a fleeting journey, a series of moments that shape who we are and how we are remembered. As I embark on this new blog, I feel compelled to capture my story for posterity — for my children, grandchildren, and the generations beyond to know who I am, where I come from, and the path I've traveled.

My name is Brenda Lee Schafer, born on February 15, 1984, in the heart of Boise, Idaho. I am the daughter of Tim and Julie Randall, and I am blessed to have grown up alongside two brothers and two sisters, placing me at number four in our lively family lineup. Boise has been my home since birth, a place that holds countless memories of childhood adventures and formative experiences.

My educational journey began at Taft Elementary, where I took my first steps into the world of learning. Hillside Jr High and Capital High School followed suit, shaping my academic foundation and fostering friendships that have stood the test of time. In 2002, I proudly graduated from Capital High School, a milestone that marked the beginning of new opportunities and experiences on the horizon.

In the summer of 2003, amidst the backdrop of life's unfolding chapters, I crossed paths with Evan Schafer. Little did I know that this encounter would blossom into a love story for the ages. On March 27, 2004, surrounded by loved ones, we embarked on our journey together, bound by vows and dreams of a shared future.

Our family grew with the arrival of three precious children who brighten our lives: Oscar, born on August 14, 2005, Colby, born on October 2, 2006, and Nellie Jane, born on July 8, 2008. Each child brings their own joy and uniqueness to our home, weaving a tapestry of love and laughter that defines our days.

In 2011, Evan and I made the decision to put down roots and purchased a home in Garden City, Idaho. It's here, amidst the tranquility of a place we call our own, that we continue to nurture our family and build a life filled with cherished moments and shared adventures.

As I reflect on my journey thus far, I am reminded of the profound beauty found in life's simplest moments — the laughter of children, the warmth of family gatherings, and the unwavering love of a supportive partner. Through this blog, I aim to capture these moments, weaving together a tapestry of memories and reflections that will endure through the passage of time.
